Originally the Spanish High Commission, Barrington was built in 1927 alongside a sandstone cliff in Darling Point Sydney.

The owners of the home undertook a 3 year renovation of its foundations, involving excavating alongside the home and underpinning the structure.

The home was modernized and the original character referenced, having been stripped of its ornate detail.
